[solved] New work package status applied to old work package type

Added by David Brunell about 11 years ago

Hello. Let’s say I have an existing work package type called “Feature” and it has possible statuses “New,” “In Development” and “Closed.” Later I decide I want to add a status to this package type called “On Hold.” Can I do this? It seems you can only apply new statuses to newly-created work package types. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Hi David,

you will have to redefine a workflow for your “Feature” type. Workflows define whether a role can change the status from a to b for a certain type. When adding the new status “On hold” you have to define this connection in the admin settings. Please see the attached screenshot.

You might have to add uncheck the “Only display statuses that are used for this type” box in order to see checkboxes for new status.

Kind regards

Jens

Thank you so much for the quick reply! It was that tick box that was preventing me from seeing the new status.
