Is there a way to configure permissions for a user such that they may only see their assigned work packages within a project?

For example, an external vendor might be added to the system to manage their project components, but should only have visibility to the work packages to which they’re assigned.

If somebody could point me towards the relevant documentation, or describe how to do so (if it’s even possible); I would appreciate the help.

Hello Nick,

no this is currently not possible within OpenProject.
There is only the “View work package” permission which allows a user to see all work packages in a project.

To allow users to see certain work packages but not others you need to assign the work packages to different projects and give users access to the respective projects.

Best,
Robin

I have a similar situation here.. I’m trying to resolve this by creating a sub-project and then add the external as a member of the sub-project only, so they can view and edit their work packages, but not the rest of the actual (parent) project.
