charge out rates

Added by Peter MacIsaac almost 8 years ago

Some activity is billed usually at the standard rate for the work package for the specific project

However some workpackages we do not charge for eg. research

On a case by case basis some hours may not be billed eg. redo work

Is it possible to set individual work package rates within the project, or to override the automated calculation at the time log stage?

It appears that the table “time_entries” is the table where charge transactions are stored.

This table has a field called overidden_costs - this does not appear to have representation in the UI

Is this something that can be configured

Further investigation has suggested that we can solve our own concern by not linking some work package/tasks to the budget (where workpackage is something we want to track but do not want to bill) and for these the hours spent will be still tracked, but the $s computed do not impact on the budget.
