recording customers

Added by Peter MacIsaac almost 8 years ago

Is there a structured way to record customers with their addresses, emails, organisations. It appears that we have to create custom fields related to the project and record 3 customers person details (primary, secondary and business contact). Normally I would expect to add persons and their details to a table that would allow structured data entry and retrieval.

Is it possible to reference values in an externally configured table?

Is one potential solution creating an LDAP server just for this purpose - which is referenced from a custom field in projects with a USER type custom field??

While LDAP will enable use to reuse an existing identity service we could use the Member create function with role of customer
