Work packages: Cannot set status anymore
Added by Attila Kinali over 7 years ago
I installed OP yesterday using the debian packages on a debian/oldstable. I made a few dummy projects and played through some typical uses cases. But suddenly I cannot change the status of any work package in any of the projects I have created. I only have one item in the drop down box (the current one set) and no others. I would understand if I messed up the settings of one project, but for some reason it affects all projects. Also those that previously worked fine and which I haven’t touched in the meantime.
Any hints what the problem could be?

Hi Attila,
this is most likely an issue with your workflows. You will only see those statuses that have a valid transition from the work package’s current status.
Also, please note that for workflows to work, you must be a member of this project. As admin, even though you are allowed to edit everywhere, the workflows will not be correctly applied unless you have a role in the project.
Best,
Oliver
Hi Oliver,
Yes, I use a non-admin user that is set as “Member” and “Project Admin”. I checked the workflow settings and, if I understand it correctly, with all transitions being checked, I should be able to change the status. The summary looks exactly like the one in the documentation ( https://www.openproject.org/help/administration-2/manage-workflows/ ).
What puzzles me is, that this worked just this morning and I cannot think of any setting I have changed that could have caused this.
Oh…kay…
I logged out, logged in again… and it works again… Something’s weird here..
