Non-Administrator Project Creation
Added by Corey Farmer over 7 years ago
I’m wondering how I can add new users as “non-admins” to prevent them from being able to make system configuration changes; however, allowing them to still create new projects. When a regular user (non-admin) signs-in, there does not seem to be an option for creating new projects. Am I missing something?

Hi Corey,
when you create a new role you can check “global role” and assign the role the permission to create projects:
https://www.openproject.org/help/administration/manage-roles-permissions/
You can then assign this global role to non-admin users to allow them to create projects (by going to “Administration” > “Users” > selecting a user > clicking on the tab “Global roles” and assigning the newly created global role).
Best,
Robin
Perfect, thank you!
