Custom Fields in Users via API

Hello Community !
I’d like to know about using custom fields when i work with Users via API .
In docs ( http://docs.openproject.org/apiv3-doc/#general , Users section ) i read this :
Please note that custom fields are not yet supported by the api although the backend supports them.

So , will it be released soon or maybe there’s some workaround ? I’m using community edition .
Thanks !

Also want to know - is it possible to create users from ldap at once (not when they are logging 1th time as it now) .
