Go to “Administration” > “System settings” > tab “Projects” and check “Timelines” next to “Default enabled modules for new projects”.
For new projects the timelines is now activated by default.
That is enabled already. I did not explain myself clear enough.
What I want is to have the timeline displayed automatically under project overview. Currently, under project overview, when I click the “gear” symbol at upper right to “personalize this page”, timeline is not available to be picked from the pull down menu, while others (subproject, members, calendar, etc.) are available.
to show the timeline on the project overview you need to add a “Teaser…” from the dropdown menu (which is basically a wiki page) and then enter the following macro on the teaser:
This legacy timeline macro has been removed and is no longer available. You can replace the functionality with an embedded table macro. whereas “1” is the ID of the timeline report you want to embed. You need to replace this with the ID you see when you select the timeline report at the end of the URL (e.g. https://community.openproject.com/projects/openproject/timelines/36 would be 36).
When you save and leave the edit mode the timeline should be shown in the widget.

I wish to show the timeline like this: https://community.openproject.com/projects/openproject
Thank you.

That works. Thanks, Robin!

Hi Nataly,
you can activate the Gantt chart directly from the work package page.
Please take a look at our user guide for details.
