Timeline sort by assignee
Added by Rebecca Hey over 7 years ago
Hi,
I am newbie, so hopefully not too much of a basic question.
I have created a timeline with all my projects. Now, I only want to show only the work packages which are assigned to one team member across all projects.
I have gone into edit - filter work packages and selected ‘Show work packages with assignee’. I’ve then selected by team members name.
However, it still shows all work packages. Am I doing it correctly? Or is what I want to do not possible?
Thanks in advance,
Becky

Hi Becky,
this is right: You can filter on the main project in which multiple projects are displayed.
There is a small twist however: When you filter for a user who has no work packages assigned, the filter is not applied and all work packages are shown.
Can you filter for another user who has work packages assigned to him/her? Those work packages should then be shown.
Btw: We are currently working on a new timeline which will be integrated in the work package list - you will therefore be able to apply the work package filters to show the correct items in the timeline.
Best regards,
Robin
Thanks Robin! Appreciate your help.
I’ve attached a couple of screenshots. I am filtering the work packages by myself, and I do have work packages assigned but it is still showing other peoples work packages.
This seems to be incorrect.
Thanks again for your help.
Hi Becky,
that’s strange.
Which version of OpenProject do you use?
Is “Murtaza Millwala WordPress” a group you are a member of?
I use the cloud version.
Murtaza Millwala WordPress - is a user/another assigne of the project.
Gobfull Website Design - is the project
