timeline updates

Hi everybody.
Please forgive me if not the right place to post this…
Will it be possible in a future release to interactively change (update) task start/end dates inside a timeline view ?
It would be great!

There is a big update for the timeline view coming. I believe this is scheduled for v 7.0: https://community.openproject.com/projects/openproject/work_packages/13785/activity

When I click, then a new tab in the browser is opened, which is really painful

Hi Peter,

in the current timeline this is not possible since the modal view to edit work packages in the timeline has been removed.
However, there will be a new timeline in the next OpenProject version which integrates with the work package list. You can then use simple inline editing to make changes.
