Rights to edit task, phase, etc.. Status

Added by Pawel Mazur over 8 years ago

Hi everyone,

I’m new with OpenProject. I was searching information about this and I didn’t find anything.

I’ve add new user with member rights. Is there a possible to setup those rights that member can edit status of tasks, etc… that he is assignee or responsible for?

Now if I enable Edit Work Package user can change every single work package in Project.

Thanks for answers, have a nice day.

Hi Pawel,

in OpenProject you can decide whether a role can edit work packages. However, there is no way to specify that a user should be able to edit only certain attributes on work packages (and not others).
You can however hide certain attributes for certain types (e.g. if you want users to only see and edit certain attributes of bugs). This can be done in the type configuration (Administration > Work package types).
When you select a work package type you can choose which attributes should be active for that type.

Kind regards,
Robin
