When trying to add a new file to the documents module, a category (mandatory field) has to be chosen. After I encountered that the corresponding drop-down menu for document category is empty I created a new custom field for document category in the general administration. Unfortunately I can’t choose my recently created document category in a existing project. In the specific administration wizard there is no option to relate custom fields of the type document category to a certain project. Are additional steps needed to enable document categories for selection in projects or is this possibly a bug ?

Hi Stefan,
a document category is an enumeration. You can create new enumeration values at the Enumeration admin view:
/admin/enumerations/
