Meeting time using pm

I just started using the meeting module. I noticed that the time input field is hard-coded to military time. If I put 3:15 pm, it sets up a meeting for 3:15 am. I have to put 15:15.

Is there a configuration setting to allow the pm text to be recognized? Is there another way I can use am/pm? Is this something that I can request as a feature if not already supported?
