[Solved] No invitation emails sent for meetings

I created a meeting with 4 persons, but none of them received an invitation email.

I expected that these invitation emails are sent. Is that correct?

Sending a test email from the system settings works fine. Any ideas?
Maybe it’s the same problem as in https://community.openproject.com/topics/6616

Hi Ralf,

invited users should receive an invitation by email when you click on the button “Send for review”.
Can you verify with the users that they set their email notification settings to receive emails (they can check this by clicking on their user name in the upper right corner and selecting “My account” > “Email notifications”).

Hi Robin,

I do not see a “Send for Review” button. When I create a new meeting I can select the persons to invite and then there is a “Create” button (Anlegen in the german version).

I configured the users to receive notifications for all actions in all of their projects.

Hey Ralf,

the aforementioned button is shown once you save the first version of the meeting agenda (content). This is the content being mailed to users.
I don’t think users are being informed immediately when a meeting is created.

Hi Oliver,

when I saved an agenda I see the review button. But from my understanding it should be possible to create a meeting without an agenda and invite the selected persons.

When I press the “Send for review” button I get an error message:

Benachrichtigungversenden fehlgeschlagen. Folgende Empfänger konnten nicht benachrichtigt werden: …

Where can I find further information about what went wrong? In the logfiles in /var/log/openproject there are no entries belonging to mail.

Hi Ralf,

I’ve just recently fixed a bug in the send for review functionality that occurs when a global date format is set.

I agree that an initial notification would be useful, however there is none. Please create a feature request for the wish list. We do gladly accept pull requests on those things, though!

The purpose of the meeting plugin is to have a space to collaboratively create agendas and meeting minutes. Isn’t sending invitation a feature that usaally a group ware does?
