[SOLVED] Calculation of progress
Added by Jörg Panthöfer over 8 years ago
Hello,
in release 5.0.19 I’ve created a phase with 2 related tasks. All tasks have been completed to 100. For the phase is calculated 150 completion instead of 100%.
This allows the status of the phase can not be set to completed. Here, the error message “The work package was due to the following error can not be saved:. Progress (%) is not set to an allowable value”.
Can someone explain how this is to understand please or maybe is it a bug?
Best regards

Hi Jörg,
there was an issue in both 5.0.18 5.0.19 concerning the normalization of progress values. The issue stems from having children with
estimated hours
set.As a workaround: If you remove the estimated hours from the descendants, the progress should be updated correctly.
Parts of the bug was fixed in 5.0.19, but the normalization was still incorrect.
Original bug report: https://community.openproject.com/work_packages/23251/activity
It contains a lot of information on how progress is actually computed for the parent.
The bug was fixed for 6.0.0 in https://community.openproject.com/work_packages/23627/activity
