How to set the working hours per day in open project
Added by Basavraj Birajdar about 9 years ago
Hi,
I need help on how to set working hours/time for day,
I am assigning few tasks to a developer, each task of 4 hours, all these tasks to be followed by one after the other.
hence i am relating them using precedes / follows relation.
As each task is of 4 hours, assuming 8 hours working in a day, two tasks should get marked/assigned to developer in single date i.e. Start date and due date should be same for At-least 2 tasks, but these tasks are getting spanned across days.
If i set the start date and due date manually it works, but i want the task start and due dates should be set according to start time of the first task and estimated time mentioned for each task.
Please guide how to set this, whether there is any configuration to set number of hours per day / start and end time.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Basavraj,
currently it’s not possible to define weekends in OpenProject or to automatically calculate the start / due date based on remaining hours.
Unfortunately, you need to set those dates manually.
Feel free to open a feature request in the wish list
Best regards,
Robin
Hi Robin.
Is it planned to add this feature in the next version? I have some tasks that should take half a day, and I need to set the following one as starting the same day.
Thanks in advance
