5.0.15 - UI - Custom Field not marked as required, but should be.
Added by Mike Lewis almost 9 years ago
Found this completely by accident. The custom field is missing an asterisk.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a custom field for Projects.
- Make the field required.
- Create a new project.
Actual Behavior
Custom field is missing the asterisk label to notify the user it is required information.
Expected Behavior
If the custom field is required information, it should be marked with an asterisk.
It appears, this is also the case for my custom fields for User information.
On Work Package custom fields, the asterisk is present as expected when I create or edit a work package. So without exhaustive testing I’m not sure to what extent this bug applies.

[Bump] Still missing asterisk marks for “required” custom fields in 5.0.17…
Just sayin’…

Hey Mike,
thanks for the thorough report. This got lost here on this board, sorry :-/
Please use a bug report on the OpenProject project instead to report a bug so we can properly priotize it in our release process.
I’ve copied your post this time in the following work package:
https://community.openproject.com/work_packages/23046
I can reproduce it and will try to get this fixed in 5.0.18.
Best,
Oliver
