[Solved] Use of checkboxes in Work Packages view.

Added by Corey Paye over 9 years ago

Is there are way to select multiple Work Packages by checking their checkboxes and apply the same change to all of them? For example, I want to add multiple Work Packages to the same Version. Instead of editing each Work Package, I would like to select several and then add them to the Version. I can select multiple Work Packages but I do not see how to do a global edit on them.

Thanks.

Hi Corey,

it’s possible to update multiple work packages at once using a bulk update function.
After selecting the work packages you want to edit, you need to right click on a column and select “Edit”. Then you can adjust attributes such as the version (please note that there may be issues when updating work packages in different projects since there may be conflicts with custom fields or versions which only exist in one of the projects).

Here is a gif showing the feature:

Best,
Robin

Robin,

Excellent - thanks. That’s exactly what I was looking for.
