Only User Stories can be created and seen on the Backlogs sprint view
Added by Julien Dubreuil about 9 years ago
Hi,
This is my first time with Openproject, I wanted to give it a try to manage an Agile project. As found in the on-line documentation, I have created several versions (sprint 1, Product backlog) and I’m able to see them on the backlogs page.
To understand how the application works I’ve created tasks, features, user stories and bugs and I have assigned them to the product backlog or the Sprint 1. The thing is I can see them on the work packages page but I can only see users stories on the backlogs page. Regarding this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlLv_wioBdM - I should be able to create all the work packages available in my project directly from the backlogs pages, when clicking on “New story” and selecting the type as in the video. Unfortunately the only choice I have is User stories.

Work packages page :
How can I see/create features, Epic and User stories on the backlogs pages ? Should I configure something ?

Hi Julien,
it’s possible to configure which work package types are available in the plugin configuration in the list of plugins.
Go to “Administration” > “Plugins” and click on “Configure” next to “OpenProject Backlogs”. Then select all the work package types which should be available in the backlogs dropdown in the section “Story types”. (You need at least one work package type for “Task Type” which are the work package types shown on the Task Board).
Once you save the work package types should be selectable in the backlogs page (if they are activated in the project).
Best,
Robin
