Filter work packages with no start or end date
Added by Marcus Liebhardt over 8 years ago
When working with Timelines it is sometimes useful to filter out work packages which are missing start or end dates. If any of these dates are missing, the work package is not visualised in the timeline view.
There are several options available when filtering for due or start date, but there is no “None” option.
How can I achieve this? Or is it a missing feature?

Hello Marcus,
there is currently not filtering option available in timelines which filters all the work packages which have a start and/or end date.
It’s only possible to filter work packages based on status, type, responsible or assignee.
In the longer term it’s planned to provide additional filtering options - comparable to the options available on the work package page.
Do you have a specific use case which requires you to filter out work packages without a date?
Maybe there is another option to achieve your objective.
(While this is certainly understandable for creating a timeline, there may be the risk of accidentally filtering out work packages when removing (or forgetting to add) a date.)
Best,
Robin
Sorry, seems my description is a bit misleading.
My use case here is indeed the timelines. When a work package is missing the start or due date it is not displayed.
However, the filter I’m talking about is the work package filter. That is, when viewing the list of work packages, I can filter for start and due dates. Though the filter options for them does not contain a “None” option. Adding this option would be a helpful addition.
I additionally second this. I have not found a good way to filter work packages that are assigned, but have an empty start or end date. Date filtering of work packages could use an empty or none option.
