email notifications are not generating for any of the events

I have configured with a external Postfix mail server. When I generate a test email it arrives. But for any other work packages it does not generate.

Where should I have to look into ?

I have enabled notification for all projects for all events.

following is the modified configuration.yml

production:
email_delivery_method: “smtp”
smtp_address: “smtp.example.com”
smtp_port: 25
smtp_authentication: :login
smtp_domain: ‘example.com’
smtp_user_name: ‘user’
smtp_password: ‘password’

I have the same problem here.

It was working on the first install in version 4.0.x and somewhere in update it was broken (before 4.2.x latest).

I don’t know exactly when because I’m not the principal user of OpenProject.

Now I’m on latest 5.0.x

Like you when I run test, I have the mail. But It seem’s no one get the email they should have.

Hi,

No one has this problem too ?

I’m stuck on it.

SQL table delayed_jobs is empty.

Crontab job is executed every minute.

Config is ok.

No connection from openproject to server mail in log.

What could I check ?

How did you start the background jobs ?

According to the installation guide https://www.openproject.org/open-source/manual-installation/manual-installation-guide/

rake file at /home/openproject/.rvm/gems does not exists in order to setup the cron job ? How did you start the background service ?

/1 * * * cd /home/openproject/openproject-ce; /home/openproject/.rvm/gems/ruby-2.1.5/wrappers/rake jobs:workoff

Here is my crontab

When I run it manually :

But I don’t have mail comming to my mailbox.

can you run following on the terminal and see the result.

su - openproject
source ~/.profile
cd ~/openproject-ce/
RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rake jobs:workoff
