[Solved] Firefox can't open xlsx and pptx attachments without prior saving them to disc

Hi all,

not sure if this is a bug but whenever we try to open an xlsx or pptx attachment with Firefox it’s mime type is shown as zip file and therefore can’t be opened directly (must be saved to disc before it can be opened).

This seems to be related to Firefox only as Chrome, Safari and IE behave correctly. Also docx attachments seem to work without any issues.

This is definitely no “show stopper” but we wanted to at least drop a note to the DEVs..

Thanks for constantly improving OpenProject and keeping it open source!

Hi Alberto,

thanks for reporting this bug.
This is indeed incorrect behavior. It will be fixed however with OpenProject 5.0 (see bug report #21988) which is scheduled to be released this week (#18432).
