URL type for custom field

I was creating a NEW CUSTOM FIELD on the ISSUE and it provides a drop down for Format.

One very useful format that I did NOT see was URL.

Any thoughts on adding this type?

Hi Mark,

That type makes a lot of sence for me. However, this feature is not on the roadmap yet.
