Multiple dummy users for demo
Added by Darren Begley about 9 years ago
Hi there,
I have just started my demo of OpenProject. I am attempting to put something together which helps to calculate capacity planning. To do so, it would be useful to have a list of 10 or 12 “dummy” users - a list of users “Person A, Person B, etc” which I can see in the pull-down menu of Members, and use as teaching tools (for myself and others) in how to use the software. However, the only way I can see to create new users (or Members) is to send an actual email to a live email account, then go to the account, generate a name, etc.
Would it be possible for demo-users to have access to a pool of fake or dummy users to better get a grip on using the tools?

Hi Darren,
unfortunately there is no direct option to include dummy users in the hosted OpenProject version.
But if you have several email accounts you can of course invite them to your OpenProject instance and use them for test / demo purposes.
