Work packages title issue

Added by Steven Wang over 9 years ago

Hi,

I’m a new guy to Open Project. But used to run Redmine on my department for years.
My Open Project was from bitnami stack of VMWare.

The version info is:
OpenProject 4.1.3 (Mysql2)

After few days in configuration, I start to build my first project on Open Project.
But when I click the “Work packages” on my project,
I found there’s error message on the Work packages title which shown:
missing “sv-FI.js.toolbar.unselected_title”…

Do I miss some configurations?
Has anyone been encountered it like me?

Thank you!

Steven

Hi Steven,

thanks for your question.
Great to hear you are trying out OpenProject. :)

The OpenProject version you are using (4.1.3) contained a bug in translations which didn’t display the strings on the work package page properly.
This bug has been fixed with OpenProject 4.2.
Unfortunately Bitnami does not yet provide an installer for OpenProject 4.2.
If you want to try out OpenProject or are looking for a hosted solution, the easiest way is to create an OpenProject instance on https://www.openproject.com/ (it’s free for 30 days).

If you prefer to host your own OpenProject environment, you can follow these instructions which describe the installation steps for the latest version of OpenProject.
You can find more information on the packaged installation page.

For an overview of the new features in OpenProject 4.2 (compared to OpenProject 4.1), please take a look at the release notes.

Best regards,
Robin

Hi, at this point I also use Bitnami open project 4.1.3. I asked Bitnami and fortunately they plan to update to OP 4.2.5 these next days. Maybe it could help.

Hi, Mike:

Great to hear that you’re also using Bitnami stack!
May I ask what you usually to do when try to upgrade Bitnami package?
Thanks in advance!

Steven

Hi Steven,

At this point I never did a complete upgrade with data migration, but if I’m right you should basically:

- create a backup of database : $ mysqldump -u root -p bitnami_openproject > backup.sql

- create a backup of all openproject uploaded files stored at /bitnami/apps/openproject/htdocs/files
then install the new version of bitnami openproject and restore the database and backed up files.
You can have some more hints here :

Regards
Michael

Hi, Michael:

Does Bitnami have a schedule when will release a OP 4.2.5 stack?
Thank you!

Hi, Michael:

I try to backup the mysql DB which use the mysqldump command but encounter the error as below:

mysqldump: Got error: 1045: Access denied for user ‘root’@‘localhost’ (using password: YES) when trying to connect

Do you have any idea how to solve this error symptom?
Thank you!

Steven

Hi, James:

So you’ll have to upgrade to 4.2 also.
What’s your platform which run OpenProject?
Thank you!

Steven
