Notification Emails from individual users

Added by Kendell Welch almost 10 years ago

Hello,

Is there any way to make it such that, when a user updates a project, that the notification sent to members of the project looks like it came from the user? Right now I having it coming from my administrator account, but people keep responding to all, and that is kind of annoying.

Hello Kendell,

do you mean the email notification you receive when updating a work package?
At the moment, you can define the emission email address in your administration settings (‘Administration’ > ‘Settings’ > ‘Email notifications’ > ‘Emission email address’) and this email address is always displayed as the sender of an email.
In the email body you can see who made the change / update to the work package: The first line in the email shows the name of the user who updated a work package.
I understand however your request to display the user who updated a work package as the actual sender of an email (e.g. “From: Robin Wagner via OpenProject”).
Feel free to open a feature request in the Wish List (set version to “Wish List”).

Best regards,
Robin
