Moving task from one sprint to an other
Added by Martijn Broens over 9 years ago
Hi,
I would like to know how i can move a work-package from one version (sprint) to the next. On our task-board we added one additional column, “Next Sprint”. So whenever a work-package (task) is not finished or for some other reason needs to be put back in the backlog so it can be picked up we move it to that column. indicating it will be picked up in the next sprint. or one later.
At the end of a sprint, i now need to type all not finished items over. it would be nice if marked tasks could be moved automatically either back to the backlog. or next sprint. I know i can just drag and drop them from one sprint to the other but than the sprint where i moved them from no longer contains that information.
is there an easy way to achieve this? how do others doe this.
Kind regards. Martijn.
BTW as an improvement feature: make the product backlog graphical similar to the task board. and drag tasks from the backlog to the sprint backlog. would a nice feature

Hi Martijn,
thanks for your feedback.
There is currently no automatic way to move tasks from one sprint to the next.
You can however fairly easily move the tasks by navigating to the work package list and then filtering for the tasks in the current version (sprint) which are in the status “Next Sprint” (which is the column you added).
Now you can select all those work packages (by clicking on the little check sign in the upper left corner of the work package list, right click on the selected work packages and select “Edit” from the context menu.
Then you can set the field “Version” to the current sprint and save.
