Backlogs - OpenProject 3.0.0pre44

Added by Eric Lambe over 9 years ago

Hello,
I am a newbie to Backlogs plugin:
Backlogs items only showing if there is version tracking ?
I spent hours trying to understand why nothing was showing up
In backlogs I can only create “Feature” and on Tasks Board only “Phase”
Why “User Story” type or others are not available ?
Did I miss something ?

Hi Eric,

yes, you need to create a version with status “open” (in the project settings) to be displayed in the backlogs view.

You can configure the backlogs plugin to display certain types of work packages by following these steps:

  1. As system admin click on “Modules” (in top navigation) and select “Administration” from the dropdown list.
  2. In the newly displayed screen select “Plugins” (side navigation) to display the list of installed plugins.
  3. Select “Configure” next to the the “OpenProject Backlogs” plugin.
  4. Select the story types you would like to be able to add to a backlog in the field “Story types” and click “Apply”.
Now you can create the work package types you selected under “Story types” from the backlogs view (provided the types are activated in the project settings of that project).

Best,
Robin
