Is there a way to write and manage the test cases in openproject?

Added by Rizwan Akbar about 8 years ago

We are also interested to write and manage test cases. Can anyone please tell me that the option is available? It is something that is really needed in our organization.

Hello Rizwan,

there is currently no included test management option in OpenProject.
It probably makes sense to use a separate, specialized test management software for creating and managing test cases (e.g. TestLink).

There is a feature request regarding the integration of OpenProject with TestLink.
However, there is no decision yet if / when to pursue this.

Since OpenProject is open source, you can of course create a feature / plugin yourself (see details).
There would certainly be many users who would appreciate this.

Best,
Robin

Thank you Robin for your quick response…

My last questions, is there a way to integrate the openproject with Bugzilla?

Hi Rizwan,

unfortunately, there is no way to integrate OpenProject with Bugzilla (that I know of).

For an overview of the available plugins take a look at the following list.
Additionally, there are AddIns for PowerPoint and MS Project.

Best,
Robin

Hello Robin,

Can I know the status of the feature request on integration of OpenProject with TestLink?  Is it currently integrated?

Regards

Pratheej

Hello Praheej,

At the moment there exists no integration between TestLink and OpenProject.
However, here is a feature request for this: #38796.

Could you elaborate on which kind of data you want to see between TestLink and OpenProject?
Could you add this to the feature request?

Kind regards,
Robin

Hi Robin,

The integration which we are looking for is when we create a ticket in Open Project, can that be automatically created in Testlink as a Test suite or something (along with the requirements we add in Open Project) so that we can directly write the test cases under that and can avoid the double work of creating the requirement again in Testlink.

I have updated the same in the feature request.

Thankyou

Pratheej
