Hide work package fields e.g. 'Responsible' or '% done'
Added by Deleted user almost 10 years ago
Just a short question:
Is it possible to hide certain fields in the work package creation dialog to clean it up a bit? e.g.
- Hide the field ‘Responsible’ (‘Assignee’ is sufficient for me)
- Hide the ‘% done’ field (We’d like to keep it simple and don’t use this field at all)
Thanks a lot! :)

just wondering if anyone was able to figure this out?
Hi Newton,
you can configure the work packages in the Administration. Please find more information here: https://docs.openproject.org/system-admin-guide/manage-work-packages/work-package-settings/ ->Look at number 8.
Kind regards
Matthias
Thanks for following up, however your suggestion is about the modules for work packages.
this thread is asking about how to hide or disable individual fields (see screenshot).
for example, i do not need the field "version" nor do i need the field "progress".
how can we hide these?
Hi Newton,
You can choose which attributes to show for each work package type by using the form configuration: https://docs.openproject.org/system-admin-guide/manage-work-packages/work-package-types/#work-package-form-configuration.
This setting can be made for each type (e.g. User Story, Bug, Feature, Phase, etc.) and is set for all projects. (It is not possible to hide certain fields during work package creation and display them once created.)
This was exactly what i was looking for. Thank you.
