Formatting buttons disabled - why?

I have a fresh installation of Openproject 4.0.4 and in all text editing fields (such as when creating a new work item), the formatting buttons (bold, italics, underlined, strikethrough) above the editing area are disabled (now I see it is the same on this website). Is there a way to enable them? Or if not, to remove them? Their disabled presence gives me and others the feeling that something is broken. I took a screenshot at http://i.imgur.com/bfkk25o.png for those who don’t know what I am talking about.

Hello Eu Doxos,

this looks very strange indeed.
Can you tell me which browser and OS you’re using?
Did you try a different browser to see if the error persists?

Unfortunately, I couldn’t reproduce this error (in Chrome, Firefox, IE).

I had the problem in Firefox, but it was OK in Chromium. Now I finally tried actually clicking those visually disabled buttons in Firefox, and they do what they should do, just look as disabled. Sorry for noise, never mind. Cheers!
