OpenProject - Contest winner at Bitnami in September

Added by Deleted user almost 9 years ago

Hello,
more than 70 days ago OpenProject won the Bitnami Monthly Contest.
I am running OpenProject 4.0 in production environment on a payed Linux Server since 2014-10-25 with no problems. I want to migrate OP to my regular Windows dedicated server.
Will the Openproject foundation finally make the code to use for the Bitnami stack available to the Bitnami staff now, today, as 4.0.3 will be released? (I read this somewhere in the forums).
Or will OpenProject foundation wait until OP version 6.2.5 is released?
Thanks for answer,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,

the source code is available on GitHub.

The OPF does not provide installer for Windows. So the great news is that Bitnami wants to provide an installer. So I guess you should rather ask them.

Niels

Hi Thomas, hi Jan,

we provided Bitnami all the necessary information from our side.
We had to delay the release until OpenProject 4.0.3 since we had to make sure that some compatibility issues with Bitnami are met in order for OpenProject to work properly.
The installers etc. should be released shortly by Bitnami.

Best,
Robin

Thanks Robin,
hope they get it packed this month.
Niels, i referred to Robins message at OP-Forum and your existing developer exchange with Bitnami. I was in contact with Inaki Izaola from Bitnami, and they would have been ready.
Best Regards

Congratulations to Openproject team and us all! That is great news. I have seen that bitnamy is private testing docker container installation options with OP too. Great!

Hi Thomas, hi Ivan,

thanks for posting this in the forums. :)
Bitnami now also officially added a blog post about the OpenProject release.
With the Bitnami installers, there is now also an option to install OpenProject on Windows. The installer also includes the plugins.

Thanks again to everyone voting for OpenProject in the Bitnami contest!
