I’ve seen that a new API version was set for release in OpenProject 4, however i can’t seem to find any evidence that it was implemented. Does anyone know what was going on with this?
APIv3 was (as far as I know) intended to launch in Release 4.0, but had quite a slow start. There are some parts implemented in 4.0, but it is not near complete.
I’ll repeat in my own words what’s at the beginning of the specs: The specification (as well as implementation) of the APIv3 is currently work in progress. Meaning that it is still incomplete, in parts not consistent and can very well change. But it is getting better over time and is under very active development right now!
At our current pace the specification in the dev-branch is always a little ahead of the implementation (that is because we specify first :) ).
I am anxious to tell you any specific dates or versions, when the APIv3 will be done or at least stable, I just don’t know yet.
However: Have a look, try it! :)
APIv3 is currently under active development and I hope that it will be enjoyable for everyone… We are making great progress (IMHO) and I apprechiate any feedback from the community.

On the current dev-build APIv3 got more traction, its specification can be found in the docs section of OP: https://github.com/opf/openproject/tree/dev/doc
