How to make work package visible to its assignee only?
Added by Sagar Dhande about 10 years ago
Hi,
Is there any option using which i can hide others tasks which are not assigned to specific user?
having functionality to show all tasks to all users is some time not required. in some cases there are confidential tasks like in project can be a different people like marketing or accounts member with developer. now it is not good if they can view tasks related to marketing teams right?
can you please suggest on this.?

Hi Sagar,
thanks for your question.
At the moment it is not possible to change the visibility of work packages for individual users.
The visibility can only be limited on project (and module) level (by using private projects and inviting only those users who should see those work packages (or by limiting the permissions of users to see certain modules / perform certain actions)).
However, there are features requests addressing this point:
Could you verify that those meet your requirements or add your feature request as comment / open a separate work package otherwise?
Thanks,
Robin
Hi Robin,
I think it's sightly different. We currently face the same problem when designing a semi-private workflow. Where work-packages should be visible only to assignees and/or creators of a specific ticket.
Maybe a visibility list analogously to watcher would be the easiest solution.
Best,
Sven
I added an idea for a solution here: #44118
Let's see if that fits in.
