Custom Fields for Users / Companies

Hello,

I’m interested to extend the profile of users with several custom fields (phone number, jabber ID, hangout G+ profile, twitter, facebook, …). And to add a company profile (to be shared by several people) => company name, production address, billing address, contact person for billing, …

My interest is to synchronize OpenProject data with services like Freshbooks (timesheets to bills) and Mailchimp (contacts to mailing-lists)

Would it be possible to map custom fields to users profiles?

For company profile, maybe another object would be needed to avoid duplication of entries.

What do you think?

Hi Francois,

Did you have a look at the Custom Fields feature?

Modules -> Administration -> Custom Fields -> Users

Currently I am not aware of an integration with Freshbooks or Mailchimp. Both would be very helpful though.

Thank you … I feel stupid. I’ve looked there before posting … but forgot to check the thumbs? :-)

With Redmine I still using a CRM plugin ( http://redminecrm.com/pages/main ) but the dev was not interested to adapt it for chiliproject. A kind of HighRise integration around a project.

For Freshbooks, I know the team behind this plugin (https://github.com/siliconsalad/Redmine-Freshbooks) and we already show the OpenProject. They were interested to move to it and help with sharing the update of their plugin.

For Mailchimp I did not check yet.

If it helps we could give siliconsalad an introduction on how to port a Redmine plugin to OpenProject. Please let us know.

What would be your approach to integrate Mailchimp?
