In OpenProject 4.0 the "Target version" combobox has changed its position in the screen, could you put it back

Hi
When editing the work package details:
in OpenProject 4.0 the “Target version” combobox has changed its position in the screen,
now it appears above the “Start date” field
Could you please move the “Target version” combobox back in the position where it was in OpenProject 3.0.x ?
i.e. under “Responsible”
The original 3.0.x screen design is cleaner than in 4.0, in my opinion.
Please see attached images,
Thanks!

Hi Alexandru,
the positioning of the fields on the work package edit form was not changed between 3.0 and 4.0. It was always dynamic, based on the amount of attributes to be displayed.
If you compare the two screenshots, you will notice, that in your 4.0 screenshot there are nine attributes as “% done” is also shown (can be deactivated via setting). In the 3.0 screenshot, there are only 8 attributes. If you deactivate “% done” from being shown (Administration -> Settings -> Work package tracking -> Calculate the work package done ratio with -> set to Disabled) the attributes will be displayed in the same way in 4.0 as it was in 3.0.
Kind regards
Jens
Hello Jens,
Interesting point of view.
I’ve attached another screen capture from version 3.0.x, when updating the details of a work package
I like the design when all the time related fields (start, due, estimate, progress ) are grouped on the right side of the screen.
This design appears also dynamically ?
Hi Alexandru,
I am not saying that this is the way it should be for all time, just that it is the way it is programmed (in 3.0 and 4.0).
We are working on providing a new edit page. That will basically be the page you can now trigger to open when on the work package table list by double clicking on a row. In 4.0 the attributes are not yet ordered but starting next week, we will change that to be grouped semantically.
The attributes you are referring to in the screenshot are provided by plugins. Those do not follow the rules I described.
Regards
Jens
