+1 for this question.
Is there a way to set permission to a role to be able to see only the work packages assigned to a user. There is no such checkbox on roles permissions config screen (AdministrationRoles>RoleName). This looks like a must have functionality for project management.
Sorry for posting here again, but I think it is an important feature we are talking about (and the one preventing me to start using the software fullscale). I just can’t believe it is not there and wait for someone to point me in the right direction.
Is it really not implemented? If so, is it on the roadmap? Should I make a request somewhere?
I am new here, so please forgive me if I am not seeing in front of my eyes))
thanks for your question.
The visibility of work packages is currently only scoped by the project they are in: If a user is not a member of a private project (and not an admin) he cannot see the work packages in this project.
There is however a feature request addressing the option to make individual work packages private:
A different approach may be to allow sharing of work packages to other projects.
limiting the visibility of individual work packages within a project is not yet possible in OpenProject - and it’s not on the immediate timeline either (see Development Timeline).
A valid workaround is to assign work packages to different projects and limit the visibility based on project membership.

In the workpackages list to the right there is “Add filter” dropdownlist
You can choose “Responsible” as a field
See attached image.
Is this what you are looking for ?
Not really, is there a way to hide all other work package that are not assign to or not created by the user from the user?
As in they totally could not see them.
