In my demo account, cannot invite members to meeting

Added by Alexandru Matei over 10 years ago

Hello,

I have a demo account registered on the site:

e.g.
https://myName.openproject-demo.org

I have created a new project.
Then I have defined new users and their role in the project.
Then I create a new meeting.

But I cannot invite the users I have just created, because my users are not shown in the list ?

Please see the attached image to see what I mean.

Thanks.

Hi Alexandru,

could you verify that the user’s role has the permission “View meetings”?
I think the role “Developer” does not have the permission by default.

To adjust this, please go to the admin settings (“Modules” > “Administration”), select the entry “Roles and Permissions”, click on the role you want to adjust (in this case “Developer”) and check the check box in front of “View meetings” in the “Meetings” section.

Then click “Save”.

Now, it should be possible to invite the users with this role.

The reason for having this limitation is the fact that it does not make any sense to invite users to meetings who do not have the permission to view meetings.

Best,
Robin
