Retrieve Custom / pre configured filters using PowerPoint Task Connector AddIn
Added by lyron ong about 10 years ago
hi,
i have read the topic on https://www.openproject.org/topics/1538 and tried using it.
Is there a way to retrieve custom / pre configured timeline filters from PowerPoint Task Connector AddIn?
my pre congifured timeline filters are complicated and could not redo on the PowerPoint side as several condition fields are missing.
Please advise.
Thanks
Lyron

Hello Lyron,
there is currently no way to retrieve pre-configured filters from the OpenProject instance. I also can’t give an ETA when and if such a feature will be available.
However what I can say is that the next version of the Task Connector for PowerPoint will feature improved filtering:
The ETA for the next version is the 06.10.2014.
I can’t yet say which filters will be supported specifically, however the filters are something we are improving at the moment and probably will be improving further in the upcoming sprints.
Hope you enjoy OpenProject and the Task Connector :)
Best regards
Jan
hi Jan,
Thanks for the clarification.
BTW, is there a way to check/select all projects at once?
due the fact it load every time i select a project and this became very unpleasant since i have plenty of projects/subprojects.
is there a way for faster selection?
Thanks,
Lyron
Hello Lyron,
unfortunately there is currently no way to select all projects at once, neither is there a way to disable the instant loading (and thus closing of the combobox).
However, we did not prioritize this issue very high, because we imagined that one would at most select something like 3 projects… We were probably wrong with that expectation :/
It would be great if you could explain your use case a little further, because this might help us to decide what is needed and why. Would be great if you could share that with us.
Best regards
Jan
