after creating a new work package status you can define a workflow based on the user’s role and the type (in the system admin settings: “Workflow”).
To add a new status to the workflow, first uncheck the option “Only display statuses that are used by this type” (to display the newly created status) and then make the adjustments in the workflow.
The type defined as Backlog task is then shown with those statuses.
You can define the type displayed as task in the taskboard in the Backlogs plugin configuration (in the system admin settings: “Plugins” > “Configure” next to “Backlogs” plugin > adjust “Task type” (default is “Task”).
