[Solved] How to use a different (custom) date format.

Added by Thanassis Viennas over 10 years ago

Hello,

I am new to RoR platform and open project’s innards. Can somebody pinpoint whether and how custom date formats are possible within the app (for instance dd/MM/yyyy in place of MM/dd/yyyy). I’ve checked several different notations in settings.yml and date_format property in particular with no luck, most of the times passenger throws errors.

Thanks in advance
Thanassis Viennas

Hello Thanassis,

you can adjust the date format in the system settings under “Settings” > “Display” tab > “Date format”.

Hi,

Can the calendar control (date picker) display the selected date in a customized format too ?

By default the calendar displays 2014-10-13 and I would like to display 13.10.2014 as well

Please see attached image.

Thanks!
