Register new project
Added by Liliya Todorova-Janssens about 10 years ago
I have just created my account but don’t see how I can create a new project. I would like to know the following:
• How I get administrator’s rights? Do I need to update my profile in any way?
• If I create a new project can I restrict access to the information to only the people involved?
• How I invite my Project team members to follow the project progress? Do they need to have some specific access rights?
Thanks!

Hello Liliya,
I assume you wanna create a new project here on openproject.org, unfortunately this is not possible since openproject.org is intended for information about OpenProject and the development of OpenProject itself.
You can try out OpenProject on our demo site here you can create a demo instance of OpenProject with administrator rights. This instance will be deleted automatically after one month. If you are interested in a dedicated OpenProject instance just leave a note in this thread and we will contact you through the email address of your profile.
To your questions:
If you create a new project you can restrict the access only to project members.
You can setup a workflow depending on your project progress and the role of the project member. Than you can add OpenProject users as a member with a specific role to your project.
e.g. only allow users with the role ‘developers’ to change the status from new -> in development -> developed
and allow users with the role ‘tester’ the status transition from developed -> resolved
