how to pin work package types under work packages

Added by art vanderhoff over 10 years ago

Hello,

Basic question, how do I get the work package types to display as pins under the work package drop down.
ie: when I look to the left of this forum I see work packages, then if I expand it I can see

Work Packages

Bug Back Log
Open Project 3_0_11
Wish list.

How do I reproduce this in our own install

many thanks
Art

Hi Art,

these are saved work package pages / queries which you can add to the side menu to be easily accessible.
You can create your own queries by first going to the work package page and create your own customized work package page by selecting filters, columns etc..
You can save your selection and give it a name by clicking on the right-most icon in the toolbar (the menu settings (with the little gear icon)).

Once you created your own query you can add it to the side menu by selecting menu settings button again and selecting “Share…”.
In the modal window, check “Show page in menu”. This option adds the query to the side menu. If you want other users to see the query as well, select the option “Page visible for others” in the same modal window.

For some additional information, you may take a look at the following news entry.
We are also currently working on a comprehensive user guide.

Best,
Robin

Thanks Robin, that worked as suggested.
