Is it possible to have multiple users on one project timeline?

I’m very new to OpenProject, coming from Asana and looking for a multi-user interface, especially with the gantt chart and project timelines.

I’d appreciate any kind of insight and tips from anyone.

Hi Jennifer,

what exactly do you mean by “multiple users on one project timeline”?

Currently you can only put Work Packages such as Phases, Milestone, Bugs, Tasks etc. on a Timeline. You can not put users on a timeline. So if you want to show the availability of a person you need to create work packages first.

Basically I’m trying to evaluate whether my coworker and I can work from the same list of tasks and see the same timeline.

As well, if we can both modify tasks or deadlines such that we’re both up to speed.

Hi Jennifer,

Yes, you can work with different users on the same task list. You can also set deadlines and milestone this way.
