Marking an Issue as Resolved & Closing A Project
Added by Paul Botta about 11 years ago
Hi - I am very new to Open Project with some basic questions. I am using 2.4 and would like to know how to Close (not delete) a project and how to mark an issue as resolved.
I have assigned myself as a manager to the project. I see a recent post - “Changing Issue Status AKA resolved issue”. I follow Philipp Tessenow’s response and don’t see a similar edit menu. The edit menu that I do see doesn’t allow me to change the status.
Please advise me what I need to do. Thx.

1. You can archive or delete a project when you are logged-in as a system administrator in the upper system navigation -> Modules -> Administration -> Projects:
2. Make sure you are assigned to the project (as a system administrator you can access the project, however cannot change ticket status). If you write that you have assigned yourself as a manager then,
e.g. workflow for Project Admin for Tracker Questions:
Hi Birthe - Thank-you very much for the quick response. I reviewed your recommendation for changing the status of an issue, but I am still unable. Please let me know what I am doing incorrectly. Thx.
1. The manager role has the Edit Issues permissions.
2. I am assigned all available roles.
3. I am assigned all of the workflow transitions.
4. The status is no-editable.
