Hello,
I did not find a solution how to automatically "calculate" the "project status" shown in the overview page of a project.
My intention is to get the "project status" calculated from the "% complete" values of the work packages + if there is a violation from the set up schedule, that this has also an effect on the "project status" - basically "on track" - "off track".
It is not necessary that the "project status" has only the values "not set", "on track", "at risk", "off track", "not started", "finished", "discontinued" - as it is now.

Hallo Stefan,
Currently, the project status is a standalone value that is not automatically updated or calculated based on other fields. However, an upcoming release will include a field that allows basic calculations based on a formula. This might be worth considering in your case, then.
At the same time, this feature request on the wish list aims to connect the % complete field with a project's phases and gates (project life cycle):

yes, correct! #50112 is planned to be part of 16.6. while, #52737 is on the wish list and planned for any release yet.
