Is there a way to limit visibility of users when managing projects?

Added by Tom Hofmann 8 days ago

Hello there,

we are managing various projects for our clients. Right now we have to manually assign users to our clients projects, because right now everyone with the permission can see all users on our instance.

This is a GDPR issue and a problem because our clients dont want to be visible to everyone on the instance.

Anyone any idea how to address this?
Thx

Tom

Hi Tom,

we have been in contact regarding this topic via another channel and found out that in your case, a kubernetes/helm chart setup with multiple instances for your customers would be most suitable.

Additional information for others who are reading this:

  • there are permissions für managing and viewing members available for roles. These allow you to define who can see and manage members of a project.

  • Via the global standard role you can define whether a user's e-mail address will be displayed when you hover over their user name.

Best
Alexander

Hi Alexander,

thanks for your input here as well.

As you mentioned, a k8/helm based setup would be most suitable for our case.

We will therefore explore such a seperate with sepearte and isolated instances per client.

Best

Tom
