Is there a way for me, as an admin in OpenProject, to create a custom action that duplicates the work package in which it is executed and links the duplicate to the original?
great question! This is indeed not yet possible with custom actions. The manual duplication dialog allows you to add a comment which could be used to link to another work package (e.g. its origin) but that would not have the same automation level as a custom action.
I searched the wish list for a related feature request but did not found any. Hence, it would be great if you could open a new feature request with your detailed user story. That helps others to add their thoughts and votes as comments.
