I'm trying to understand if I have something misconfigured. I assumed that if I'm watching a ticket, I will get an email notification for anything that happens with that ticket. I seem to only get an email notification if someone does a "mention" in one of the comments. I would like to get notified for all activity on any ticket I'm watching. Is this possible?

Hi Jeremy,
in your personal user settings, you can select two options for immediate e-mail reminders:
When someone @ - mentions you (in a comment)
For a personal reminder you set yourself on a work package [1]
If you are watching a work package and something happens there (e.g. someone made a comment but did not @ mention you), a notification is also created but not send out immediately via e-mail. You can see this notification in the notification center in OpenProject (the bell symbol next to your avatar). If you do not read this notification in OpenProject, it will also be included in the next daily e-mail reminder for unread notifications.
2 tips that may be helpful regarding this topic:
It is possible to send yourself more than 1 daily e-mail reminder. You can add times via Account settings -> E-Mail reminders.
WebHooks are an alternative way to get all updates for work packages directly in a different tool (e.g. your company's chat tool). [2]
Best,
Alexander
