Limit time tracking to 8 hours

I am experiencing an issue with the "My time spent" widgets and time tracking. Despite having set up an 8-hour workday, it is possible to log more hours than set for an activity.
Is there a setting to limit time tracking to 8 hours per activity? Is this functionality planned for future updates?

Hi Alexandra,

the 8 hour work day is primarily used to define how duration is displayed (e.g. for the work and remaining work fields) in OpenProject and does not have an effect on the logged time (yet). This feature request seems to be related:
